Slow Down Lady!

bubs has this endearing habit of calling me lady when he is exasperated. as in 'slow down lady!' or 'geez o petes lady!' i love it. that and when he calls me momma. well today it wasn't me he had to tell to slow down. hubs got a ticket before we could even get out of the lake 36 in a 25. my sub can't even coast at 25. seriously home owners association out of control! When we were in Fort Lauderdale I stumble upon Couture Upscale Consign. the proprietor came outside where i was perusing the racks and said anything on the rack for $3. i found a few Michael Stars t's (i collect them) one of which was a 3/4 sleeve t-neck! i also bought a cool brown native tunic. their store specializes in Chanel handbags though and i'm afraid i did not procure one of those.

i can't remember which blog this came from but i'll post the link as soon as I stumble back to it... i wanted to post to show that bunting is EVERYWHERE this summer and i want to make a welcome bunting for the library out of old book pages...

i still need a new haircut... before monday would be great.. this image is from Red Velvet... i would love to achieve these bangs... once school starts i can actually wear my hair down during the day since inside they keep it at like 60 degrees... today the temp read 99 on our way to go eat at The General Denver and to pick up my contacts... we ran into a group of the HS football players at McD's picking up a smoothie... it's august when they start congregating together at the local M's... talkin smack cause hubs coaches at the rival school... anybody else's family get really touchy when school starts back? i mean touchy feely like they follow me around, when i sit they come sit by me, hug me for no reason? hmm guess they need a little extra tlc...

i think i forgot to blog about marina getting baby skunked! i raised the garage door and she took off towards something at the back of the truck and halted only after i yelled 'MARINA LET GO OF THAT KITTEN!' when she returned she didn't smell like a kitten :) just a little stink... i remembered when i saw this cute print by Sarah McNeil on Where the lovely things are...

i wonder when the September issue of Vogue mails? can't wait since i watched the documentary The September Issue... loved it.

i can't help taking pictures of dogs/puppies and once again i had hubs turn the truck around so i could go pet these guys and find out their story... they need a home and dolly their 2 yr old mom does too. i tried to take them all home but my boys would not agree. i would settle for taking dolly but still the answer was no. so i posted the pic to facebook and home to at least spread the word...

Shelf Talker posted a great blog posting about bookcases that double as coffins called "Shelves for Life". ahemm.
