So hubs tore his Achilles tendon completely on Thursday night. Friday we went to see a specialist and Monday we had surgery. Recuperating now on the couch with leg propped up. This is not fun but is life altering. Things change so quickly. Priorities shift. My parents came over to help me get the trees up and the decorations up from the basement. Hopefully I'll get the lights on today but he really would rather I ......... sit............still.......... beside him on the couch. He's resting now but wow this is difficult. Hours yesterday and hours today sitting. Who would have thought this was so hard. Poor guy...
So some pics I've been meaning to share. I went to the annual school Christmas fair and shopped around Saturday while hubs dad was with him. I stepped over a vent and.. well-
Lunch at Padrino's in Old Milford. This is a zucchini fry, a garlic knot, tomato basil soup and bruchetta pizza.
I insisted we get that Christmas picture taken pre surgery. This was no small feat to get him and his boot out in the snow and covered appropriately. Remote camera. Dog looking at the camera. Now to get them ordered and on the cards I have made. Hey maybe hubs can address them once he comes out of his stupor? too much to ask?
Marina thought it didn't take long enough. She kept waiting while the boys started the long trek back inside. Hey where's everybody going?
Yes this is the foot we indeed want to slice. Scary that the big bruise and swelling might not be a big enough sign.
Hub's mother did not find it amusing that I whipped out my camera to take pre pictures. Hey what else do you do to lighten the mood when they warn you of the possible complications. Like death and dismemberment? See take a few annoying pictures and go from there.
I snapped a few photos from the ABC book I made back in the summer with my former stamp club. I had L and U.
Not my page but one of the better ones.
Some more pics from the cookie extravaganza...
Last weekend we lunched at Steak N Shake. Obviously the diet season is not upon us.
And some more beauties from this past weekend...
Although I hate driving in it, snow and cars cruising for Christmas presents and parties and activities just go together.
I accidentally snapped this pic of my skirt... and my aura.
This guy made us some amazing Italian creme sodas.
While mom took a load off her feet.
A closer look at that handmade skirt I bought a few weeks back in Columbus.
Then to the chocolate store Auel's Fine Chocolates to wash down those Italian sodas... or is that backward.
Ok caught up and now for some more goodies before the patient wakes up...
The boys didn't get the joke? Do you?
Cute idea via Creature Comforts. Make tags from cookie cutters and felt~
