Scary guys...

via The Long Thread

When bubs or Yo or I see someone a little off kilter we often utter to the other, "Scary guy." You say it slowly and drawn out. These 'guys' would definitely would qualify. After bubs (the middle) asked me if they could walk alone (and after I shed tears knowing the days of me embarrassing him because of my existence is upon us) I followed them in the sub at the beginning and end of each street while these 3 scary guys walked on their own.
Then 2 days later we did it again with my parents along their suburban street and around...

Hubs has decided that we will bring back the friends' thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday of Thanksgiving week AT OUR HOUSE. Now it is always enjoyable but also exhausting to clean the house, put up all the daily life clutter, shop, and prepare a meal for (and entertainment for littlies) all in about a month. So let the games begin!!

Thursday on the way to work I thought I saw a small deer crossing the road in front of me until I got closer... A HUGE COYOTE.  Just taking his time from one field to another.

As as sit here at the computer this morning I see in the reflection of my monitor the leaves falling outside. How beautiful. We finally broke down and turned on the furnace last night. I've been trying to make it to November by using the EdenPure and a small space heater in the bathroom but bubs and hubs are starting to sniffle and blaming it on me! Bunch of wimps.

We have a new Keurig machine at work. I've tried numerous flavors: White hot chocolate
Green tea
Raspberry tea
Peach tea
Orange tea
But I've only found a few I like:
Donut house (with vanilla creamer)
Vanilla creme coffee (with vanilla creamer)

And plaid bunting from Ragged Home on Etsy. I'm thinking I should do a post of all the bunting I've seen in the last few months. This chick has 30 styles on her site alone.

EECK! Spiders~

I have several favorites on here- the sweater I love and return to often in the fall, the thrifted gray 21 skirt is perfect. The tights are black with white stripes and (wait for it) the boys approve. So what? The spider earrings not my favorite since they kept catching in my hair. This new to me Free People blouse is fabulous though. Can you see the 3 bows? Subtle but lovely and the ribbons are finished in white as well as the buttonholes down the back

the new to me stacked black mary janes...

After the photo shoot marina gives me her favorite pose of sitting on her back legs so you'll scratch her belly~

Halloween? Bats!

These bats should be glowing in the dark as we trick or treat this evening. Bubs would like for me to wear the disguise glasses because he asked to walk with his friends and me to just drop him off. Not. Gonna. Happen.

Ah rats!

Caution! Halloween week is upon us and that means more themed clothing.

The students LOVED this necklace and it gave us something to discuss while we ducked and covered for the tornado warnings this afternoon! First time in 15ish years I heard 'this is not a warning!'
More patterned tights! and even more halloween themed jewelry...
Are those rats in your ears??!!!?!/

I wore my silver owl bracelet I found in Columbus this weekend at Funky and Functional. This today I noticed Sarah Cov. etched on the backside. Googling brought up this info and the suggested value of $36. I paid under $10 for it so SCORE. Cute little thing to feed my recent owl addiction. And it is the same age as me!
Item Description: Sarah Coventry made a owl called Hooter, this mesh bracelet with the owl made in 1972 is called Nocturne. Signed on clasp © Sarah Cov, the owl has fine detail work and pink rhinestone eyes with a good working fold over locking clasp.
