I'm behind

Tuesday

Harbor overslept until 8 which means I overslept then went back to bed until almost 9:30. That's freakin' awesome since i haven't slept in forever.

no eggs... again

Yesterday I worked until 5 pulling the house back together. Then hubs called and needed some paperwork to run to a meeting so I showered and headed out to meet him. We dropped it off then had dinner at Donatos before stopping by the grocery for eggs. 100$ later forgot the eggs. Seriously.
It's just nice to spend time with him doing anything. Back home the 3 of us watched the last Blackish to get caught up and then a Fresh off the Boat before we headed to bed. Still reading Bossy Pants and it is hilarious. Lovin' it.

Steve

Sun: Got home last night from a week at Hilton Head Island. The boys had just left for an all night fishing tournament. They barely said hello before falling into bed...
So this Sunday is spent catching up on social media. And a Murder She Wrote marathon.

Fri: Harbor went to dicks last resort with friends. He won't tell me what his hat said...
He drove and did a great job. Last night he drove to Alex's in blue ash and brought him to yo's to go to Terry's turf club to celebrate his 17th birthday. The waitress asked mom her name when she took her order so when she came to harbor he said Steve. I love that kid seriously. Then when I handed my camera to Alex to take a pic for us he turned it around and took a selfie w us. That's friggin' hilarious. The whole ride there was loud and scary and fun. A great evening. Of course this is coming on the heels of Stella really scaring me to death. Wed night when I came home she had a hard time getting into the house. She was sick or hurt. So after a restless night we took her to the vet Thursday. She pulled back muscles and has early onset hip dysplasia. Poor girl. And I'm leaving for Hilton head.

Last Sunday at church communion was offered at anyone's desire to go forward. I wondered what our family of three would/should do when Harbor said should we go and lead us out. One of my most touching moments.

Sunday Funday

Last year's room was so perfect we should have expected disappointment. This year's is much smaller and the view is of the swamp again not the lake. But the sounds are just as spectacular. Last night the crickets and such were welcoming us with song!
It's Sunday morning and I'm starting over. Good morning Lord!
This morning the birds are giving a full concert. I have got to lose the extra weight it is absolutely ridiculous. Enough. Need a combination of restraint and exercise.
This is why Yo and I get along so well. We pick up the same clothes in a store. We duck into the same stores. We see a bar in a bookstore and we immediately order a drink.

Check your motives. John 3:11 Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God, whoever does evil has not seen God.
Eph 5:1 Be imitators of God.

blood...

Ugh! I had to have blood work done this morning which means I have to pee. On command. I am  a girl of routine. I get up. I go the bathroom. I let out the dogs. I fix coffee. I feed dogs. I do not like messing up that schedule so I did such and figured I could pee again later..... I proceeded to drink 40 oz of water and thought I might not be able to causing more stress. Then after all the hubbub I can't stop peeing!!

Taking today to clean up paperwork before classic book club. I had to stop for awhile to make watermelon salsa. I lllooovvveee it. Can't stop eating it.

Garage Sale

Returning from 4 days at Yolanda's. We set up a yard sale, managed it, tore it down, shopped, cooked, ate, crafted, worked in my planner, read magazines, cleaned her craft room and generally had a great time for 4 days straight.

We always seem to hit the same stores- Sam's, JoAnne's, Michael's, Half Price Books, gas, Kroger, Target,

I tried a new coffee shop- Awakenings in Hyde Park. One of my favorites- a caramel latte. Good stuff! I also tried their chocolate croissant; it was just OK.

I enjoyed Fusian twice in 4 days. The one in Kenwood with tuna and cucumber-lemon water and seaweed salad. Then I saw one, I can't remember the name, that was even better than both the sushi places we've eaten at. The cilantro is amazing added to the sushi.

Talked a lot about Hilton Head. Hoping for a good trip and good weather.

I'm definitely a lister. Getting ready for HHI trip I have about 3 lists going on. I'm constantly packing.

Proverbs

Going to work in the summer is so two sided. It's nice because I get to work uninteruppted and get things done I'm constantly trying to do during the year. But I don't want to be here. I haven't caught up on my household yet!

Proverbs 31:6
Give strong drink to the perishing, and wine to those in bitter distress; let them drink and forget their poverty and remember their misery not more.

Proverbs 31:15
She rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household and portions for her maidens.

July Already?!?!

It's ridiculous that it is July 7th and I'm making my 1st blog post of the month. During the school year I always think oh this summer I'll have time and then summer comes and I think where did the time go?!?

John and I kicked off July with a check in with our financial advisors. That was depressing. Then we went to Dorothy Lane Market for dinner and some groceries. John was a trouper at the hot dinner counter where you chose what you wanted then took it upstairs to reheat and enjoy. Really cool place. He even swung in Goodwill when I spotted it. Good time.

On the 2nd we went out for sushi with the Lansings and Williams. We miss those guys so much and need to get with them more.

On the 3rd I headed to Yo's for crafting and pool time. Margaret and Mom were there too. Then Mom Yo and I went to Lawrenceburg for a wine walk. Smitty was selling split the pot tickets for the Elks there. The music was good and so was the wine!

I spent the night and got in a good pool day on the 4th. Marina was so spooked by all the parties and fireworks I finally just came home and watched tv with John hoping to distract her. It didn't work so well.
