The Buck Stops Here

Trying to squeeze in all those autumnal colors.

Wednesday preparing for the friends' thanksgiving Hubs got up and made pancakes to kick off our day of cleaning the garage. I really can't believe Hub's can see a disaster and turn it into organized heaven. Seriously he works miracles.

I didn't take any good photos during our Friends Thanksgiving, it got very hectic, very fast. Here is the aftermath.
Thanksgiving morning, Hubs took off to fish for a few hours before we headed to his family's for Thanksgiving so Bubs and I cuddled up in bed to watch Tom and Jerry reruns and flip through blogs on the iPad. Good times. Then when we went downstairs to feast on Pumpkin Pie Poptarts for breakfast Marina alerted us to the fact that there was a buck in the backyard. Thanks for the gift thanksgiving.

I tried to wear my hair down for Thanksgiving but it ended up in a knot with a pen holding it. Grandma got a kick out of that. I asked for a pen and she couldn't find one that worked. I told her it didn't matter and she was completely befuddled.

I wore the fingerknit garland I bought for an example to make my Christmas Tree Garland this year as a necklace.

My 'create' for today is this Sugar Scrub from Deliciously Organized DIY

Just listened to Tom Bodett on a podcast of The Moth... very entertaining, thoughtful and moving story of a
boy/man and his father's influence.

Not guilty

Having a recuperate day after feeling it coming on for a few days.
Last week while watching Harry Potter I jotted down this beauty on a bookmark and gave it to a student I'm trying to convince is not living up to his ability.
It isn't your ability that makes you who you are it is what you do with it. Albus Dumbledore
Then at service on Sunday...
It doesn't matter how you feel it is how God sees you.

Twilight Eve

Time to scrap those goals from this year and start thinking about the next year! For instance learn to take better pictures because this shirt and cardigan were awesome together but you can't tell it in this pic. AND you can't see that I'm celebrating the new Twilight movie with my Twilight jewelry!
Sporting OPI Atomic Orange polish
Watching The Santa Clause and Debbie Macomber's Mrs. Miracle
Drinking Bigelo's Pumpkin Spice tea

Owl always love you autumn!

Like the new border? I adore owls. Not sure when that happened but they just represent autumn for me.
Last weekend I'm not sure if I was more excited to get a crafternoon at Yo's house or more excited to get sushi for lunch. I tried the mussels in addition to my favorite pink lady.
Harley kept an eye on my craft table for the afternoon.
This week a friend called in the evening letting me know she had me covered for lunch the next day. Boy did she ever. 3 kinds of quiche, cookies, a muffin, a tangerine and pumpkin bread. Love her.
I picked up this blanket/table cloth and these dishtowels at the festivals this fall. This is why I am very careful to only make things for people who treasure them. Not sell them for pennies at thrift sales. Or you better not people. I have faith in you!

On the 'create more' front this weekend I made a tag for a bag gift for a colleague I know loves cats. Also put together a thank you card for the ladies who made my lunch bag above. Yesterday I reworked a box with baby stickers for an early Christmas gift for a little one.
It's November and I'm looking back on my goals for the year. Some have been stagnant- my weight, while others have blossomed- creating more.

Saturday Catch Up

Bub went to an all night lazer tag outing last night and I fell asleep way earlier than usual, again! This time change is kicking my butt!
Today he is sleeping it off a bit while I play catch up on the house, computer and lounging.
Then he politely asked if we'd give his friend a ride to the skating rink this evening. Sure. Good 'cause he's almost here.
Rush, rush, rush. Give the kid some credit he vacuumed and picked up his clothes in 15 minutes flat.
Harry Potter marathons are appreciated for background music. Thank you.
Strike that the teens have taken over my television. Just thankful they didn't retreat to his bedroom only to come back out for a ride to their next location.

Adios October

Some more goodies from Stampaway and the scrapbooking convention.
And although October is over I'm just now getting to the decor pics.

Scary that I have more halloween jewelry than all the other celebrations combined?
 Some of Bub's past costumes

After trying to figure out how to make the garland in the Anthropologie stores last Christmas I saw some at a recent craft fair. It's called fingerknitting. Googled it and showed it to Hub's who then did this...

More convention goodies just now getting put away.
OOTD with the newly acquired Moth sweater skirt from Columbus  Second Chance.
My little welcome to November pin

Back to the old interface

Blogger updates the interface but doesn't allow posts from iPads? Are u kidding me? So two posts lost...
Anywho
Up before dawn on a Saturday to take bubs to practice, worked a few hours in my library waiting for him, stopped by e PO to mail postcards out to voter friends telling them why I'm voting no on issue 2 in Ohio. Encouraged by the post mistress saying, "I will be voting no Tuesday" on my way out.
Dropped bubs off to just just in from deer hunting. Blanked. Headed to the bank. Aren't paper checks a pain? Then through the Sonic drive through for refreshment. Notice K's mini in front of me in the drive through and heckled her. Smile.
Over to Yo's for a crafternoon. Distracted by sushi and mussels. Yum. First time ordering the baked mussels. From fusion. Over to the cupcake lady who informed us she has been sold out since 11am. Over 1000 cupcakes this morning. Poop.
Currently listening to Christmas music and getting ready to craft!

Blogger nonsense! Do something
