Friday I changed at school into my yoga pants and high tailed it out of dodge. We stopped in Milford to check the tire pressure, buy lottery tickets and then through the Sonic drive thru before hitting the highway. We stopped in Williamsburg to drop off wedding favors for my cousin, my uncle filled up our coffee cups and then we headed into Knoxville to eat at a Cantina. Good stuff. Then we got to Ashville NC before pulling in about midnight.
Saturday we had a hardy breakfast at the hotel and headed over to the Asheville Farmer's Market to browse around before finding a Starbucks and hitting the road again. I bought some lights to make a fairy garden this summer. We found a cute little homestyle place for lunch and then headed on out. A billboard led us to September Oaks Winery for a tasting and a looksy. We made it to our motel by about 7ish and it was dark and pouring the rain. Actually it poured the rain on us most of the day. So we took up a few things and then headed to Hull's Seafood for some much missed fish dip and such. Good good stuff.
Sunday we thought was supposed to be nasty but when we got up it was sunshiney so off we went for a 6 mile walk. Very refreshing in the ocean air. We stopped at Starbucks and continued then turned around picked up lunch at Lulu's Cafe, lobster tacos, beans and rice. I also had some of my leftovers from Hull's last night. Got to remember to split our food. It did start raining on us this afternoon so we went for a drive to tour the local thrift and such. Yo's iPhone bit the dust and so an hour or so at the verizon store to get a new phone. A frozen coke and some jelly beans later here I sit on the balcony looking over the ocean at a BEAUTIFUL site. Gorgeous. Lovely. Relaxing.
