Friends

Headed out to meet some friends tonight. These ladies have been in my life many years. They've poured wisdom into me, hugged me when I was broken, made me laugh until I cried, and made me a better human being. What else could a girl ask for? Friends can be tricky.  I've gotten invited into some groups I've bowed out of. I've been befriended by some I've stepped away from. I truly believe I should be with those who help my being. Those I know I am safe around. Girls who will tell me the truth but not be snide about it. I am fully aware this does not happen by chance and yet I consider myself lucky and blessed to have not only these ladies but many more (and a few guy friends who've stood by me).

I really want to wear the teenager's jacket. It would be so comfortable and would match my outfit. But I think if your mother wears your jacket it sends it into no man's land.

Noel- the saddest, weirdest Christmas movie ever. But good. very very good.

Forecast

The pouring rain is so lovely. Let it wash over me, cleanse me, let me start fresh. Last Friday the forecast was crappy but it turned out not so bad and I wondered if this workweek might hold the same hope. It did. Things are rainy but not horrible. We'll survive.
