Mrs. Librarian

finally! finished the library inventory and worked off another 12 hours... i think i could work non stop for years and still not catch up... during the summer i think 'oh when school starts i'm gonna...' then school starts and those pesky kids come and i get so little done :) and all year i think 'oh when my summer hours start i'm gonna...' then i spent all those summer hours finishing the stinking inventory and tracking down those 92 missing items! ahh but now the inventory is finished, my email is cleaned out, my bookmarks are transferred to delicious, my desks are clean, my office organized...

bubs caught a big one in the tourny tues. unfortunately not big enough to win big bass...

i finished reading Almost Moon by Alice Sebold for the book club tonight... i haven't been to this book club in ages but i like to revisit now and then to show my support. i did not enjoy the book. not. i am a big fan of Lovely Bones and I couldn't bring myself to read Lucky. i went to hear her speak on time and she was a very dark person. it shows in this book. a bit too much for me... so on to The Tenderness of Wolves by Stef Penney. i need to have it read by next wednesday for my staff and friends book club. so far also pretty dark. i took it out on the boat with the boys this morning and read between nodding off to sleep. i am feeling puny today...

back from book club... i had to 'drive to town' today for this and then run by the grocery, recycling, etc. so i 'ran into people' for the first time in a long time. back to the 'Mrs.' label. i get so used to being relaxed over the summer and dressing for me and such that it shocks me when i have to be 'Mrs.' again and talk shop... but i am so eternally grateful that i have a job i love with people i love (and maybe a few others) really tough times hit close to home and i'm glad i have the life i have...
