Robin Left Us An Early Easter Present

there are two robin's blue eggs in our front door nest. i won't look for another week. i've kept the porch light off and we've been using the back porch door.
the front weeping pear tree bloomed yesterday. yes not the last few days i've been looking but yesterday KAPOW!
i picked up Chicago Magazine March 2010 today at the Home Depot while hubs was buying something boring like bolts. i read the whole thing in the store but i had to bring it home b/c of the article Where the Experts Shop covering all kinds of stores including thrift stores, farmers markets and stationary stores. it also has loves of websites so i thought what the hey, it's worth the 4.99 for an afternoon of entertainment and an addition to the Chicago file...i would love to make it up there to see Lyuba, a fully preserved Ice Age-era baby mammoth at the Field Museum before Sept 6. maybe i could find these shorts i saw on Obliteratedheart but couldn't track down.
the clothing company Oilily closed all their US stores! i love the brand but am only able to buy it secondhand since it's a little out of my price range. but that means i won't be finding it so much in the consignment stores. darn it. i love that brand. the other bad news? their website is crappy. double darn it.
i scrapped all day yesterday with B. i made it through the summer of 2009. i need to speed up and finish the year before meeting next month. we watched Casablanca and might i say i can't believe all the famous lines form that movie... goodness
  • Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world, she walks into mine.
  • Here's looking at you, kid.
  • not to mention i didn't realize this is where the You've Got Mail song originated...You must remember this / A kiss is still a kiss / A sigh is just a sigh / The fundamental things apply / As time goes by. / And when two lovers woo, / They still say, "I love you" / On that you can rely / No matter what the future brings-...
we also watched 2 Colin Firth movies Easy Virtue and My Life So Far. i love Colin Firth. he is the perfect time period actor.
I love the Elle makeup videos and today I came across Huda Quhshi. now i'm not a heavy makeup girl but these eyeshadow videos make me want to change my mind.
2010 Goals Progress:
It's Saturday! so taking it easy
Reads: I finished Blue Bloods and i'm glad i read it for work but i won't continue reading the series, still working on A Walk For Sunshine. My Clean Eating May/June issue arrived yesterday. i've already devoured it. i'm so glad i subscribed with my secret santa money gift from work. otherwise i would have spent that $20. on Gold Star tasteless coneys and pepsi regrets.
here's a little video i came across on kandeethemakeupartist.blogspot.com
