Gotcha!

posing is not as easy as it looks on style blogs such as What I Wore Today or Black Dog Finds but it is pretty fun (or funny depending on the outcome) to set the camera and run around there, try to stand in focus and in some sort of pose that doesn't scream "Gotcha!" i switched to the front door bc the back porch door lighting was weird but there is an upper landing here and bub was throwing stuffed animals over to make me laugh (i deleted those). i am going to seek out some camera classes this summer. this is the sweater i bought at Kismet and i just got these Madden Girl t-straps at TJMaxx not too long ago to console me from not finding the shabooties i was looking for from WIWT

the blue ballet dress and the red checkered tap dress were made by my mother years ago. i just cleaned them and now they are hanging up in our spare bedroom. it's been so cool lately i have all the bedroom doors open and i every time i pass by they catch my eye. good memories. mom put us in every class imaginable. tap. jazz. ballet. baton. and she sewed the dresses. she doesn't sew so much anymore unless it's necessary. i see all these great blogs posting sewing projects and wish i would have learned. someday...

2010 Goals Progress:

Meals: egg salad and crackers, Gunpowder green tea (this is what kept me up half the night Sunday but works great on a Thurs. morning) a student teacher brought in tacos for the lunch crowd on his last day (Q-is it bad i told him that all the student teachers do this for us? A-no, he is a former student who terrorized us), LaRosa's pizza for dinner. geesh. i had a talk with hubs about our eating patterns again. he said, 'i know' all sheepishly.

Reads: i was searching out some quotes from Dispatches From the Edge by Anderson Cooper for a teach for an hour or so today- interrupted every few minutes of course- and once again realized what a gift he has for putting the horrors of this world into words...
