always a good day when my favorite magazine greets me at the mail stop...awhile back i saw this Alice in Wonderland ring at Walmart... i didn't get it bc 1 i am supposed to be spending less 2 i was at Walmart and i hate falling in love with something only for it to break a week later... but then i regretted it bc 1 i've had a slight obsession with costume jewelry lately and 2 i love tea, tea cups, tea pots etc... when i returned no ring and the salesperson said their store didn't get any AIW jewelry.. poo... luckily when my sis when to Florida for Spring Break she found not only the ring but a bracelet and necklace that she then gifted me for my birthday!!! i am in love. of course this calls for a special Alice outfit and i thought mine when over particularly well today...
the necklace is attached with black ribbons... i wish the bow at the empire waist on this dress came through better on the picture... so much to learn!
Natalie Merchant was on NPR yesterday morning and i think she might join my list of imaginary friends. a coworker had natalie's new cd in hand today and i am surely going to have to purchase this work of art. i listened to the first cd while a meeting closed my library for the afternoon. . the liner booklet is worth the purchase alone... the whole album is compiled of old 19th and 20th century poets work...
