Biggest Snow in Awhile

Went to bed late. Woke up early. Excitement for the day off? the coming snow storm? Getting Christmas stuff down ?!?! Weather guy says we haven't seen a snow storm like this since 5 years ago on Presidents' Day. We'll see.
I read the first 5 chapters of Revelation and took notes this time. Clearer with our recent Bible study conversations. Sitting at the table with Bible, coffee, pad of paper and candle is a great way to celebrate a day off. The snow is coming down...
I've been trying to keep up with my scrapbooking as the year progresses so cleaning up some past events this February.
Hubs made french toast while he and the boy wile away the morning watching fishing videos. Me- planner videos. Them- guys fishing.

I was stunned to hear Harbor stopped at the outlets with his father and went into the Kate Spade store to pick out a dress for Emma for her birthday. Stunned. We raised this kid right. And by we I mean me, Yo and mom. Wow. Stunned.

How you treat me is how you view me. Is that your intent?

When you treat me poorly I take note and will not feel safe around you. I will choose not to be around you. Is that your intent? You are narrowing your circle. I am stepping outside. 

People implying that they get to decide how I spend my time? What is up with that. You can see I am busy. It is not of your business what I am doing. Step away. 

Your work is not appreciated is the message you send me when you interuppt me with trival things. Are you blind to the reality that I too have work to do? 

We Can Scrap!

I wish the park ranger hadn't told us there was a family of bears. I keep looking in anticipation.

What a great weekend. Our set up was nice this year. Mom, You, Marg and I set our table up in and open square so you had a little more autonomy but could make eye contact with everyone.

Discipline

I'm feeling a little more with it today. I've been out of sorts. Lots of January/New Year planning I think has slowed me down, made me more introspective.

The biggest loser showdown started last Friday. I'm eating salad at lunch. Good actually. Then someone brought cupcakes so I ate that too. It's funny how someone can use the word 'lack of discipline' when referring to to my eating habits and then order a pizza.

My tribe

Stephenie shared a Facebook article not long ago about women over 40. You know your tribe. That was clear this morning.

Bub was hoping for a Dodge Neon SRT 4 for Christmas. Didn't happen. Now he is in car shopping nirvana. I enjoy listening to him dream.

Over Christmas break I decided I'm joining the Monday Morning w Coffee Working at Home Crowd. Yesterday cemented that goal.

The Year of the Keurig! We've had one at school for about a year and I eased into loving it. Last Christmas Hubs gave me one for home and I now use it about 4 times a day. Coffee, tea, you name it I use it often. Lovely.
Bub's Youtube video sensation. We know it wasn't from his amazing skill etc. but it was some intelligence to time that shot and luck that it went in. I'll take luck any day!

Snow day..

On our snow day off Hubs and I watched Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit- not so great. I won't remember any of it. Luckily I cruised Facebook and Pinterest while watching.

This morning Hubs made eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy while I tried to salvage my cards I started for the card exchange. The cards didn't work so back to square one.
