Post Christmas

After Christmas calmness today. Actually yesterday and today. Then tomorrow will be back to joining in festivities. I need a healthy balance of both. Spent yesterday unpacking presents and finding a home for everything, getting rid of paper and packaging and putting away food, candy and pop.
Today I got up then changed my mind and crawled back under the covers to read, Christmas in Cedar Cove.
And now for a photo dump...

I noticed I have alot of holiday clothing
Hub's was a sport getting all the decorations up this year... crazy time of year.

 My new favorite shoes

Henry and his family came over for the Bunch family Christmas Eve
Harley checked out Marina's space... and bone

Henry tries to find a way out... unfortunately he does find his way into my bedroom to leave me a little Christmas present. It's a good thing I love that little guy.
I mean how do you not love this little guy in his PJs.

 Our idea of togetherness

 Papaw gets a new beanie!

Henry loves my present to him so much- he destroys it.

Wall art was popular this evening.

That night we met up with about 15 other elves and delivered some covert Christmas presents to 20 different kids.

 Christmas morning

Last week was the annual music project for Bub
the week before I attended an art show with Yo and a coworker at an artist colony in Loveland, Oh
 lots of ball games lately
 And a new tradition... Turducken!

Christmas Craziness

Santa Baby 2 is on (again); cute movies! Hubs wants to know if there are any noncorny Christmas movies. Umm I don't think so.
Moonlight and Mistletoe

Call Me Claus- Whoopie
All the craziness of Christmas has left me with just enough time to list the corny Christmas movies I've been watching/listening to lately...

Is it December?

Watched Santa Baby (again). That's a cute one. And listened to Christmas in Handcuffs while working and waiting for Bubs to get out of church youth.
I made a sugar scrub from Pinterest... great, really. Love it.

OOTD pics leave alot to be desired lately...
Spend the last Saturday in November baking with girlfriends

The red velvet whoopie pies were my favorites.

Corny

I love, love, love Christmas movies. It is the one time of year I will watch/listen to a corny romance. Tonight Christmas Town is on. I remember watching it last year and although it isn't the best there is romance involved and since it involves a hidden Santa's workshop it does classify as corny.
Caught an old Denzel movie I've never seen before, or even heard of, and although it was rated 2 stars I thought it was quite good. Out of Time is a police drama with a quirky unbelievable ending but still Denzel and Eva Mendez in the same movie. Come on.
Last weekend I watched Dear Santa and I just wrapped up Undercover Christmas. OH and Snow with Tim Cavaungh is a good one. Again unbelievable, romantic happy endings. I guess at the end of the year I'm looking for those.

The Buck Stops Here

Trying to squeeze in all those autumnal colors.

Wednesday preparing for the friends' thanksgiving Hubs got up and made pancakes to kick off our day of cleaning the garage. I really can't believe Hub's can see a disaster and turn it into organized heaven. Seriously he works miracles.

I didn't take any good photos during our Friends Thanksgiving, it got very hectic, very fast. Here is the aftermath.
Thanksgiving morning, Hubs took off to fish for a few hours before we headed to his family's for Thanksgiving so Bubs and I cuddled up in bed to watch Tom and Jerry reruns and flip through blogs on the iPad. Good times. Then when we went downstairs to feast on Pumpkin Pie Poptarts for breakfast Marina alerted us to the fact that there was a buck in the backyard. Thanks for the gift thanksgiving.

I tried to wear my hair down for Thanksgiving but it ended up in a knot with a pen holding it. Grandma got a kick out of that. I asked for a pen and she couldn't find one that worked. I told her it didn't matter and she was completely befuddled.

I wore the fingerknit garland I bought for an example to make my Christmas Tree Garland this year as a necklace.

My 'create' for today is this Sugar Scrub from Deliciously Organized DIY

Just listened to Tom Bodett on a podcast of The Moth... very entertaining, thoughtful and moving story of a
boy/man and his father's influence.
