December and Catching up

So today I am getting caught up on blogging and scrapping in anticipation of Friday. Friday, Saturday and Sunday I am attending a scrap event with mom, Yo, Margy, Bev and Bev's connections. 3 days of scrapping bliss.
Printing off the blog since 2010 on a printer on its last leg
Doing laundry like every other day of my entire life
Putting things back in place
Continuing on the 8 hour diet... so coffee and water until 11 then soup beans, baked potato, peas, mac and cheese. Delicious.

Back in September I got my craft on. Then the holidays ensued and google didn't like me for awhile but now we are friends. So let's catch up...

Hello December!
Christmas with the Bunches was at Yo's this year.

 The year of hats!

We took our Christmas card picture without actually printing it out and sending it. Poop!

I was Hub's secret santa at work.

That would be a gun cabinet.

All the dogs went nuts over the oversized bones.

After Christmas shopping didn't happen because it was suppose to be a blizzard. We managed to get out some though.

Basketball started and Bubs followed in the footsteps of the old man and started wearing bow ties.

I took a day off and went to Little Nashville with mom, yo, and Kathy- a friend of theirs. Cool little shops and lots of inspiration.

 Hubs decorated his classroom door
It was a cold foggy morning...
Hard to tell by the pic but this is a gangle of legs that belong to me, Bubs, and 2 dogs.

 Hubs made me some earrings.
We traveled to KY over the holidays. The boys spent time at the Lovin side and me and mom spent time with Penny. The boys called on night to tell me the pizza was on its way. I sent them this pic and said no thanks.

She saved the paper for us.

We stopped by Trevor's, my cousin, for a gun show.

Working hard... for the money and for renewed heath!

Monday Jan 7
Back to work! Got up and worked out had a smoothie... nice start.
Tuesday Jan 8
I had staff and friends book club and Bubs had a bball game. Glad I missed actually because there was some sort of an altercation. Altercations make me nervous.

Wednesday Jan 9

Thursday Jan 10
I made Strawberry pretzel salad and Snickers salad for our Friday B lunch carry ins and they were both easy and I'll make them again. Pinterest success!

Friday Jan 11
We had a baked potato bar for our B lunch girls carry in. Good stuff.

Saturday Jan  12
sipping Numi Organic Breakfast Blend Tea
noshing on Lucky Charms and milk because I love them and I can not throw them out, and a pizza I found in the freezer that no one is claiming - a brushetta thin crust

New year 2013

Tuesday January 1, 2013
That's crazy seriously. Took it easy. Didn't stress about it being the first day of the rest of my life. I sorted scrapbooking things back into their places.

Wednesday January 2, 2013
Stayed home almost all day. Watched episodes of Columbo on Netflicks. Started at episode one and progressed. Sorted more paperwork in the studio.

Thursday January 3, 2013
Crafting day at my friend Kathleen's. 5 of us meet to eat, drink, be merry and craft. Bubs had a basketball game at Goshen, my former high school. Then went to eat with Yo, my parents and Hubs while Bubs went home with a friend. He's been gone the whole break! Not happy.

Friday January 4, 2013
Scrapbooking at my friend B's house for the next 2 days. Lovely time. I get so much done. I'm in a bit of a quandary. When I started the blog in Feb 2010 I was really scrapbooking like a feign! But blogging makes more sense these days.
Watching North and South while scrapbooking. We've already made it through The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. It was fabulous! Cozy and warm. Now I'm drinking an amaretto sour now and yowsers it is delicious.

Saturday January 5, 2013
Back to scrapbooking at B's house. Lovely. We listened to Car Talk and Wait Wait then listened to a webinar about the cloud.

Sunday January 6, 2013
Humourist at church this morning, lunch with the Colliers at Red Zone, Jungle Jim's for some gifts and then home to read Outlander!

Cozy

57 books in 2012. That's 13 short of my 70 goal. I know its because I've taken up so much other stuff. Facebook. Pinterest. Active teenager. That's ok. I'm disappointed in myself for not staying on top of it more but I also am pleased with myself overall. Balance.
Kicked of the New, New Year by getting up at 5 getting on the treadmill for 30 (not easy I wanted to quit at 20) Hubs made us all 3 green smoothies that were nutritious and delicious.
I then attempted to follow the plan but, wow, really derailed alot this first day back. Lunch was nutritious and now evening hits and the boys called to say they'd be late. Again. Ball practice, weight lifting and then traveling to Wilmington to support the athletes starting at the strength lab. So I finished off the salsa with some chips. Some candy crap so now tea and on to finish Outlander before tomorrow's book club to discuss it.
The last book I finished was Christmas Quilt. It was a cozy read. Not my favorite.

A WHALE OF A READ

Finally, after a little over a year, I finished reading Moby Dick. I am so glad a group of 6 women read this book together. It lends itself to wanting to share quotes, questions and parallels with others. Beautiful read.
My blogger won't let me add any more photos till I pay up so I've got to get that worked out before catching up photo wise.

a bit behind

Last day of the Thanksgiving break.
Speaking of Thanksgiving, yesterday Sue B said I say Thanksgiving like no one else she has heard. I stress the thanks not the giving like most people.
Interesting.
I pointed out that at our current church, Elevation, the stress the Je not the sus in Jesus. Also interesting.
I got up and let the dogs out this morning then promptly went back to bed with my Bible to catch up on my reading plan.
Now I'm making coffee to enjoy while catching up on Facebook and Pinterest then start blog rolling while I get a move on cleaning the studio.
A little CBS Sunday Morning playing in the background.
